Translated in the Spirit: ‘I Was Carried Into a Realm of Faith That Changed Everything’

Would you like to prosper with God and live in a realm of faith?

Where by faith you are communing with God in the cool of the day in the garden? Where there is great prosperity, nothing missing or broken?

Hebrews 11:5 (KJV) says,

By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

Translation is not a difficult thing if you’re already prospering with God. Being taken up with God or being translated or caught up or actually physically moved from one location to another means you have a faith that pleases God.

Now what is a faith that pleases God? A faith that pleases God is a faith that believes in the goodness and the love of God. It’s a faith that believes that God intends to bless us and causes us to live in a realm of prosperity. We know this to be true because God sent His Son Jesus Christ to break the code of time and space and properly position us in prosperity.

It was never God’s design that Adam and Eve would die at the hands of a spiritual and natural death and not prosper; however, they were convinced that they needed to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil to gain something. I believe that Enoch was taken up because he did not live in a world of gain. It means that Enoch was able to defy his own needs for gain by living in a realm of faith with God, where he was completely and utterly dependent on the Lord, and God became prosperity to him. God is your portion and your lot. Psalm 16:5 (KJV) says, “The Lord is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.” I believe that Enoch knew this. He knew the importance of being with God.

Translation comes from living in a realm of faith with the Lord, a realm where God is pleased, and Enoch pleased God. Let’s go to Hebrews 11:5 (KJV) again: “By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.” That word translated is the Greek word metatithemi, which means “to transport, exchange, change sides, carry over.” To change sides means to move places, from one place to the next. From one time zone or space to the next. From earth time to eternal time. From one realm to another realm.

Enoch had a testimony. What was Enoch’s testimony? That he pleased God. How do we please God, we live by faith. Can you imagine having the faith of Enoch that he would be able to say that?

Do you think you will meet a lot of people today who know they please God? That’s a level of enormous confidence to admit that, but clearly within Enoch’s soul—mind, will and emotions—he was so unified with God that he knew God was pleased with him. And what was God pleased about Enoch? He was pleased with his faith because Hebrews 11:6 (NKJV) says, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.”

Enoch pleased God, and he diligently sought him. Let me ask you two questions: Do you please God? And do you diligently seek Him? Do you believe that God’s heart is to reward those who live by faith? If you do, you are a candidate for translation.

Faith Testimony

People ask me, “How do you get translated in the spirit? How can you go from one place to another?” People have told me that I ministered to them in person or even in a dream or a vision. This means that God lifted me up at some point, whether a vision or dream, and took me somewhere. Now please know, in the case of Enoch, it was a physical translation. His physical body, spirit, and soul were relocated to Heaven. I was spiritually moved from one place to another when I was taken up to Heaven. My body remained in the earth realm, but my spirit and soul went somewhere else. You can read about this in my book, Heavenly Portals: Creating Supernatural Environments through Heavenly Encounters.

The apostle Paul speaks of “a man” in 2 Corinthains 12:1-4 (NIV), who was caught up to Heaven. We don’t know for sure if he is referring to himself or not, but he writes:

I must go on boasting. Although there is nothing to be gained, I will go on to visions and revelations from the Lord. I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven. Whether it was in the body or out of the body I do not know—God knows. And I know that this man—whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, but God knows—was caught up to paradise and heard inexpressible things, things that no one is permitted to tell.

That phrase caught up in the Greek is harpazo, which means “to seize or pluck”; broken down to aihreomai it means “to take for oneself, to prefer.” So in this passage, caught up reveals that someone can be caught up by faith that pleases God, when God prefers or takes someone to Himself. He clearly took Enock to Himself. Remember the word took in Genesis 5:24 also means “to seize.”

Born-again, faithful believers can have these testimonies. My testimony is that I live by the faith of God every single day, and I train myself to do the best I can to do that. I live by understanding that if I can’t see it, it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. I live from a place of knowing that if God says it in His Word, it’s done. One of the coordinates for translation is that we live by faith, a faith that pleases God and diligently seeks Him.

You may want to have a supernatural experience of translation. I’m going to speak into you that your faith would be increased in the mighty name of Jesus and that you would diligently seek the Lord, and I mean diligently from the realms of Heaven. You’ve ascended with Him. You sit with Him in silence in the Word, you speak in other tongues, you rest in that place and challenge your need for gain.

Let me expand a bit. People who please God are not always concerned about gain. They’re not always concerned about where they’re going or how they’re going to get there. They’re not always concerned about gaining something in order to fill a void inside them. They have a lot that they want to present and bless others with because they’ve received a lot from the Lord.

I believe when it comes to faith there is an element of need that one understands is complete. A lot of the needs we have in humanity go away when we present ourselves as living sacrifices to the Lord, and we just love on Him right there. We love on Him in a place of receiving, not a place of gaining or getting. You can have a heartfelt desire to be translated in the Spirit, and that’s perfectly great. But I would say you need to work on your faith that you live now in a place of prosperity, not that it is coming. You live by faith in the eternal realms and not from the restrictions of space and time in the earth realms. Enoch lived by faith where he was literally translated. He was taken away. If we’re going to physically be taken up to Heaven without seeing death, which is Enoch’s testimony, then we need to be living in the place where the culture of Heaven and life already exists for us. We are living by faith all that Heaven is manifesting in a current moment.

You don’t go from living in this realm and being consumed by death and expect to have your body translated and be taken up without living today in a realm of faith. Enoch was wholly taken up—spirit, soul, and body. This is because he spent his time living in the culture of Heaven, the Garden of Eden experience by faith. He became so consumed that it was very easy for God to cause him not to die in the flesh. His flesh was so in tune with Heaven that he lived until he was 365 years old. His flesh even defied the earthly time code.

Now today, I have never met anyone who’s actually been physically moved where they didn’t see death, where there wasn’t actually a death ceremony for them. But that doesn’t mean anything, whether I’ve seen or haven’t seen it. We know that happened to Enoch.

However, I, like other people I know from the supernatural and spiritual side of things, have been moved in my dreams and in my visions and in my quiet times with the Lord to other destinations to do the work of the ministry or to bless others, to carry that prosperity to another place, to make a deposit. When I was caught up to Heaven, there was no time restriction where I went. When I returned, I had been gone about 45 minutes in earth time, but it felt like I had never left and no time had passed, that was the reality of the eternal time zone that I was catapulted into.

You may be having the same type of experiences. I have awakened from a dream after traveling to various nations to minister to people. Or I’ve gone over there and blessed somebody here. If you have had a similar experience, it’s because you are already learning to live in the realms of the ascension, the heavenly and eternal realms with no time and space issues. This is becoming such a lifestyle for you that God is shifting you in your dreams and in your visions, in your quiet time with Him to other places.

Today, you can pray for God to take you to these places in the spirit realms. God may shift you that way spiritually, where you carry a large burden for another nation and you start being shifted to another nation before you even get there and you start praying and interceding. That’s a form of translation in the spirit. But the translation in the Bible is specific to the fact that Enoch did not see death. He was physically moved from one place to another in the flesh.
