Dutch Sheets: ‘She Vomited Out Her Cancer!’ Access This New Wave of Signs and Wonders

Excerpted from Angel Armies: God’s Supernatural Enforcers.

In the late 1960s, I once stood and watched as a minister prayed for a young boy’s legs to be healed.

Lame from birth, his legs were supported by metal and leather braces. As the minister prayed, the air was filled with the sound of joints popping; muscles and tendons formed, and bones were transformed. The young man, who had barely been able to walk and certainly had never run, took off his braces and ran around the church. We all watched with amazement, awe, and tears. The entire congregation celebrated with this young man over his remarkable miracle.

I watched another miraculous healing take place as the same man ministered to a lady with stomach cancer. He commanded the cancer to leave her in Jesus’ Name. The woman immediately began gagging, then vomited up the cancer, completely healed. Doctors substantiated both of the above miracles. I know this for certain because the minister was Tim’s and my dad.

In the late 1970s, Ceci and I were in a service at Christ for the Nations Bible Institute, during which Holy Spirit released words of knowledge (1 Corinthians 12:8) regarding people being healed. Several students received healings, including a young lady who didn’t even know her miracle had occurred until later that night! Sherry had been born without any toenails; after the service, she was preparing for bed when her roommates heard her scream: “I have toenails!!!” She hadn’t felt a thing when the miracle occurred. Who knew God could be so covert…and fun?!

Also, in the late 1970s, Ceci and I saw several remarkable miracles on a ministry journey to Guatemala. One of them was the healing of a paralyzed woman. We were in a hospital “ward” for impoverished women who couldn’t afford to pay for a regular room. Thirty to forty ladies were lying 3-4 feet apart, with no partitions between them and no attendants present.

After praying for the lady we had gone to visit, the woman in the next bed asked if we would pray for her. She removed her arms from under the covers and showed her two hands, limp and paralyzed. Her feet, she informed us, were in the same condition. We prayed for her, knowing God could heal her, but I certainly was not confident He would. At that point in my ministry, I had faith to pray for colds and the flu, not paralysis! Nothing happened immediately, but as we were walking away, she began waving her hands, kicking her feet under the sheet, and shouting “Milagro!”—the Spanish word for “miracle.” Not only was this lady healed, but several women gave their hearts to Christ as a result of her miracle.

In the 1960s and 70s, it was not unusual to see miracles like these occur in healing services across America. Thousands were supernaturally healed. I witnessed dozens, probably hundreds, of healings.

Then, it was as though someone turned off Heaven’s healing spigot, at least in America. The healings didn’t completely stop, but almost. Why? I’m not certain, but I have always felt it was due to a combination of things, including an inappropriate exalting of the ministers being used; the gifts being glorified more than the Giver; the manifestations of Holy Spirit being prioritized over sound doctrine—the works of God over His ways; and as often happens from these errors, sensationalism became predominate over substance.

I believe Holy Spirit saw that major course corrections and adjustments were needed. To facilitate this, He would do less THROUGH the church for a season, and more TO the church. Over the next several decades, the flow of Holy Spirit into us would supersede His flow from us. This has produced much fruit. In the interim, between the outpouring of the 1960s/70s and today, incredible levels of worship have been realized, the prayer movement around the world has been astounding, the prophetic gift and office have been restored, as has the apostolic gift and anointing. More positive change has likely occurred in the body of Christ over the last 50 years than in any period of time since her birth. The transformation of the church has been nothing short of amazing.

God is now beginning another season of pouring out. Get ready for another wave of signs, wonders, and miracles as part of the coming revival. This has already begun as a trickle but will grow into the great river spoken of in Ezekiel 47. A book-of-Acts level of God’s power will be poured out here in America and around the world. Prophets are speaking of this, and trusted authors like Tim are being led to write about it, preparing the way.

Expect Holy Spirit to begin stirring your heart to pray for people needing healing, just as Mark 16:15-18 (NASB1995) commissions us:

And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned. These signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name, they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues; they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Meditate on and pray these verses daily. And ask Holy Spirit for the gift of faith, the working of miracles, and the word of knowledge to be given to you (1 Corinthians 12:8-10). Zechariah 10:1 tells us that when we discern it is the right time for the rain of revival, we are to ask for it.

It’s time—start asking.

Father, we ask for the rain of revival, accompanied by great signs and wonders. We stir up the power of Holy Spirit in us as You instructed Timothy to do, and we ask for gifts of the Spirit to be imparted. We ask this not only for those in pulpit ministries, but also for believers in all vocations and positions. Just as deacons Stephen and Philip were used to perform great miracles (Acts 6:8; 8:6-7), do so through believers in all parts of Christ’s body today. We ask this so that Christ will be glorified, and we pray it in His name. Amen.
