Break the Jezebel Spirit! Step Into Your Authority as a Woman of God
Recently, I heard the Lord say, “Can you hear the sound of the army of My daughters who are arising in this hour with thunder in their steps?”
As I heard the Lord speak those words, do you know what I heard? I heard the sound of an army of women, marching arm in arm, shoulder to shoulder, fully alive. The atmosphere was so full of authority and strength. The thundering of the steps I heard would cause mountains to crumble. There was a strength within them that came from not their own efforts but from the deep place of intimacy with Jesus. It came from the place of knowing Him deeply and then walking as those who walk as one—those who know Him and walk His way.
The atmosphere was full of boldness as this army of His daughters arose. Their boldness came from knowing who He is, and I heard the Lord say, “Look closely, Lana,” and I leaned in and looked closer. As I did, I heard the Lord say, “There is no fear. See there is no fear, they have been with Me.”
In that moment I could feel Acts 4:13 (AMP) surrounding me:
Now when the men of the Sanhedrin (Jewish High Court) saw the confidence and boldness off Peter and John, and grasped the fact that they were uneducated and untrained [ordinary] men, they were astounded, and began to recognize that they had been with Jesus.
The council members were astonished as they witnessed the bold courage of Peter and John, especially when they discovered that they were just ordinary men who had never had religious training. Then they began to understand the effect Jesus had on them by spending time with Him.
Here we have the men of the Sanhedrin astounded and astonished by the confidence and boldness of Peter and John. Why? Because they had been with Jesus. Because of the effect Jesus had on them by spending time with Him.
They began to recognize that they had been with Jesus!
The atmosphere that surrounded me in this encounter was one of such boldness that as the Lord caused this army of daughters to arise, they were arising unashamed and unafraid!
As the Lord spoke, I was reminded of Joan of Arc and her assignment to lead France to victory as she led the French army in its war with England and where she spoke to her soldiers:
It’s not enough that God be with us. We must be with God…. I would rather die than do something which I know to be a sin, or be against God’s will. Act and God will Act.
Talk about boldness! Joan of Arc’s ferocious boldness and conviction is coming on His daughters afresh, obeying the Lord even unto death. Joan of Arc was captured by the enemy forces, tried for witchcraft, and burned at the stake at the age of 19. By the time she was canonized in 1920, Joan of Arc was considered one of history’s greatest martyrs and the patron saint of France.
“It’s not enough that God be with us, we must be with God”—that ferocious fire and boldness is upon today’s army of daughters of God who give the Lord their yes in this hour to do mighty things with Him.
The religious boxes of the “shoulds” and human expectations are being broken off His daughters, and they are arising in this hour, fully alive and deeply rooted. As I looked at this army of women arising I heard myself say, “They cannot be moved or shaken because they have been overtaken by the Lord God.”
The Lord then spoke:
Here they come, here they come. My daughters arising with thunder in their steps because they walk in Me and they carry My prophetic voice and they carry My heart. They are consumed with My Word, they are consumed with My fire, they are consumed with My heart. Can you hear the sound of an army arising with thunder in their steps? Here they come, arising out of the wilderness, leaning upon their Beloved. They are not the ones who parade revelation. They are pure. Their hearts before Me are pure as they live before the audience of One. They are the unapologetic ones. They are the ones who have been through My unrelenting fire and have been consumed. They arise consumed. They are arising consumed with My fire and no longer contained.
They are arising in obedience, far from defeat, as they have lived deeply at My feet. Here they come arising on earth to take authority and dominion for My Kingdom. No longer will they be harassed by the enemy, no longer will they live assaulted by the Jezebellic spirit. For in the secret place they have been trained for war. I have trained their fingers for war and their hands for battle (Psalm 144:1). They live so deeply connected to Me for their greatest desire is to abide. The enemy has screamed at them to pause and retreat, and I am speaking over them to push and defeat. It is time for them to arise in their destiny in greater ways, awakened to My authority within them; they arise not in arrogance but in confidence of who I am in them and who they are in Me.
As His voice surrounded me, freedom resounded, thundering in complete and total heavenly unison with Esther 4:14 (AMP):
For if you remain silent at this time, liberation and rescue will arise for the Jews from another place, and you and your father’s house will perish [since you did not help when you had the chance]. And who knows whether you have attained royalty for such a time as this [and for this very purpose]?
The urgency of the hour surrounded me. The urgency of the hour for His daughters to arise with a bold YES to Him that springs forth from their laid-down place of devotion and adoration of Him. There was a divine convergence happening in this season where preparation of many previous seasons were colliding into this new era and positioning His daughters to arise in their destiny in ways that they had not seen before. The urgency of the hour in which we live demanded an “all in yes” to Jesus.
The words in brackets in the Amplified version, “since you did not help when you had the chance,” struck me deeply. As I read those words, not only was I surrounded by the Spirit of God so loudly highlighting this verse for this hour and the urgency of it, it took me back to an encounter I had at the start of 2024.
In the night hours I heard the Lord’s voice so strongly, so loudly with such intense authority. He said:
The Church needs to stop acting like a doll on a stand and be the city on the hill that I have created her to be.
When He spoke those words, I felt the fear of the Lord upon them and the heralding of the Lord’s heart that right now is time for His Church to engage and to be the city on the hill (Matthew 5:14). Not like a doll on a stand that is to be admired while sitting on a shelf, gathering dust and looking beautiful but doing nothing. God is calling the Church to be the city on the hill that cannot be hidden, to be the beacon of light in the night, releasing His light to a very broken, lost, and dying world. To be a city on a hill helping people to see, bringing direction, bringing hope, being a guiding light from a higher position.
As we live before His face, as we live beholding His beauty, living in the light of His face, eye to eye, seeing as He sees, in that place of deep intimacy, we reflect His light, His truth, His glory, His Word into the world to draw others to Him, to bring hope, shift atmospheres, and see His Kingdom come on earth, through you and me.
The Lord is calling us to engage, to arise and take our place, what- ever that looks like for us individually as daughters of God. As each one of us arise and take our place, then together collectively we arise as an unstoppable army moving forward with thunder in our steps as HIS presence and Word goes out from our lives to accomplish HIS purposes and plans on earth and make way for His glory. It’s time to come out! I hear the Lord calling His daughters, “Come out of hiding.”
The hour is urgent, the call is loud, arise with your Beloved and take your place. Be in the secret place with the Lord and allow the fire of God to consume you. Ask the Holy Spirit to do the heart surgery if needed, if there are things hindering your “Yes” to Him, your “All in yes” to Him; because daughter, listen to me, the world needs you. The world needs your history and relationship with God to shine brightly on earth and for you to be who you were created to be.
The world needs to see the Jesus in you! You have a part to play in this hour. What is it? Have you asked Him? Let us not be found wanting when the Lord calls to us in this hour. Let us not be found wanting in the place of “you did not help when you had the chance” (Esther 4:14).
This is not a place for condemnation, this is a place of recognizing the urgency of the hour in which we live; and you are being called for such a time as this. He is calling you to arise, daughter, receive a fresh baptism of His fire, and embrace the fire that ignites a “No toleration” roar within you that says, “I won’t allow anything to stop me anymore from being who God has created me to be and doing what God has created me to do. Fire of God consume me!”
From that place, you arise and continue to arise, daughter of Zion, warrior of God, unstoppable, not from your own strength but recognizing who you live in and whose you are. Who goes with you in the urgency of the hour! The Lord began to show me how so many daughters had been battling with strongholds of fear. Some of them for their whole lives, others in seasons, and now is the season of complete freedom. Now is the season of His daughters arising in boldness and power, His power, from a place of deep tenderness toward His heart and living deeply in the fear of the Lord. They are arising and the Spirit of God is shifting them suddenly from fearful to fierce. From weary to fortified, empowered, and strengthened.
