Holy Fire Will Purify the Prophetic

This is a time of great alignment, purification, acceleration, and preparation.

God is reviving, He is maturing, and He is building. I released a word in November 2019 for the prophets, titled, “Warning to the Prophets in This New Era: Do Not Trade Purity for Platforms.”

The Lord is really highlighting stewardship in this new era and purity of heart in the Church. The Lord really does care about heart motives and the “why” behind actions (see 1 Sam. 16:7). For example, there’s nothing wrong with posting a photo on Facebook of, let’s say, having lunch with someone of great influence, or sharing a testimony of what God has done through you or your ministry. There is a very powerful place for sharing testimony, but what I do believe is God is asking us as His people to always ask, “Why am I doing this? What is the purpose of this posting?” I believe that the Lord is really raising the standard of conviction of the “why” behind actions because of the self-promotion and striving that is keeping the Church from moving in all God has for them. The refiner’s fire is falling in this hour, heavier than we have experienced before.

But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For he is like a refiner’s fire and like launderers’ soap (Malachi 3:2).

I heard the Lord say recently: “This is the day of My dealings.” I want you to hear this: God is dealing because of the great revealing that’s coming. The revealing of Jesus Christ in the earth in a way we have never seen. The revealing of the glory of God, His power and majesty in exponential ways, and the revealing of the sons and daughters of the King.

For all creation is waiting eagerly for that future day when God will reveal who his children really are (Romans 8:19 NLT).

He is dealing with His Church out of His extravagant love to bring forth the great revealing. This is the preparation and the posturing for the greatest positioning of God’s people in the earth to usher in His Kingdom and glory in marvelous ways.

In all of these “dealings of the Lord,” I had an encounter with Him in November 2019, and He gave me a prophetic word of warning to the prophets in this new era, which I want to share with you here. In this encounter, I heard the Lord say, “Prophets, I am issuing a warning to you. Do not trade purity for platforms. Do not use My voice to build your platforms.”

Instantly, I saw a parading of pride that was taking place. “Look at what God has spoken to me! Look at the revelation that the Lord has entrusted me with! Look at the Word I am carrying and the doors God has opened for me.”

There was such a strong warning in my spirit from the heart of the Lord to not spiritually prostitute the gifting and come to a place of impurity where the revelation that is being released from the heart of God is being used to build platforms. The Lord continued to speak to me:

“Lana, I am going to restore the fear of God upon the prophetic movement. Many have become familiar and complacent with the privilege that it is to hear My voice and carry My voice and are being driven by a need to be seen rather than overflowing from the secret place, encountering My heart.”

I cannot even put into words the grief that came into my heart. I felt the yearning from His heart as His eyes roamed the earth and continue to roam the earth, looking for those prophets and prophetic voices who will steward His heart with purity, integrity, and humility.

I want to stop here for a moment. What I don’t want you to read here is any dishonor for prophetic leaders and prophets who have gone before me. I am so thankful for those who have gone before me, and I have received so much teaching, training, and understanding from of the mothers and fathers in the prophetic movement. I am so thankful for their example, their lives, and their ministry and the gift that they are to the body of Christ.

“God is weighing the prophetic movement, and right now it has been found wanting.”

I want to put this word into context—God is weighing the prophetic movement, and right now it has been found wanting. So out of His love, He is correcting, aligning, and His refiner’s fire is coming to purify and purge.

The Lord continued to speak:

“Lana, I am not just shifting some things in the prophetic movement; I am reforming the prophetic movement.”

In this new era, we are going to see the revelation of what God is speaking, revealing, and releasing aligned strongly with the divine strategy of God to build and to build in some unexpected ways and places.

In this encounter I had with the Lord I had a vision, and I saw a line of prophets. The first prophet began to prophesy and release the word of the Lord; then the next one began to prophesy and they prophesied louder than the one next to them. Then the next prophet began to prophesy louder than the second one. Then the next prophet began to prophesy louder than the third one, and it went all the way down the line of twelve prophets. There was a competition of who was going to be heard the loudest. There was a pride in the atmosphere that said, “I have the better word; I got the word first; this is my prophetic word.”

My heart was gripped that there were many in the prophetic movement who were operating out of this place of pride, competition, and impurity. When the Lord spoke of the warning to the prophets to not use His voice to build their own platforms, I felt the fear of God so strongly. It’s a call to all prophets to be staying close to the Lord and allowing the conviction of His Spirit to fall if need be.

In this encounter, as I looked at the line I wondered why there were twelve prophets. Instantly, I thought of the twelve disciples and I thought of how the number 12 in Scripture represented perfect government/rule (see Gen. 49:28; Exod. 24:4; 28:21; Josh. 3:12-13; 4:3; Luke 6:13). Adam F. Thompson and Adrian Beale in their book The Divinity Code say that the number 12 also represents divine organization, apostolic fullness, and literally twelve.

There is a divine alignment and His perfect order coming to the prophetic movement unlike we have ever seen before. There is a maturing, organizing, reorganizing, and restructuring coming to the prophetic movement where Jesus is the center.

God is bringing a higher standard to the prophetic movement.
