10 Powerful Decrees to Fight Cancer With Faith and Authority
Your life matters to God.
Not vaguely, not theoretically, and not as part of a crowd. Your life matters to God personally, intentionally, and eternally. The gospel is not merely good news. It is a declaration of your personal, eternal value! What is the true measure of your worth? Heaven answered that question with the Cross.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son… (John 3:16 NKJV).
God did not send an angel. He did not send a substitute plan. He gave His Son in exchange for your soul. That means your life is not cheap. It is not accidental. It is not disposable. It has been purchased. You have been more than loved. You have been recovered! Most believers stop at this truth: God loves me. But the gospel goes further. It shows you that you have been recovered, you have been restored, and you have been repositioned. When sin entered the world, it didn’t just separate humans from God. It stripped humankind of authority. In Genesis, man wasn’t created weak. He was created in God’s image, in God’s likeness, and given dominion over all the earth to subdue it and maintain it.
…let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth… (Genesis 1:26).
Man was given union with God (relationship). He was given communion with God (fellowship). In addition, he was given authority over the earth (dominion), and work assigned by God Himself (purpose). But we know that when sin entered the world, mankind fell. The fall was more than sin; it was a transfer of authority. When Adam and Eve sinned, some-thing devastating happened. Man lost his God-given nature, his heavenly perspective, and he surrendered his God-given authority to the kingdom of darkness. This is why sickness, fear, and death entered the world. Not because God designed these things, but because authority was misaligned.
But that is not the end of the story. God had a redemptive plan for the humans that He so dearly loved. And that plan included the sacrifice of His only Son. Jesus didn’t just come to forgive sin. He came to restore what was lost, and He came to destroy the works of the devil. Not manage them, not tolerate them, but destroy them.

The Cross Was A Legal Victory
The Cross was not merely historical, societal, or emotional—it was legal.

Your New Position Changes Everything
Here is where many believers stop short—and why many struggle in battle. They know they are saved, but they don’t know where they are seated. You are not trying to achieve victory. You are already seated in it! Authority is not earned; it is inherited.
And raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:6 NKJV).
Because of Christ you are a child of God. You are a citizen of heaven. You are seated with Christ, and you have been given authority over darkness.
I give you the authority…over all the power of the enemy… (Luke 10:19 NKJV).
This is not hype; this is position. Why does this matter in a battle with cancer? If you only see yourself as a patient, a victim, or a diagnosis, then your prayers will come from below the problem. But when you understand that you are redeemed, you are repositioned, and you have already received authority, then you will begin to pray from victory, not desperation. You are not powerless in this fight. Cancer is real. Pain is real.
But hear this clearly: You are not powerless. You have not been abandoned. You are not at the mercy of darkness. Instead, you are redeemed by Christ’s blood, filled with the Spirit of the Most High God, seated with Christ, and given authority (dominion). Your identity is your starting point. Before faith works, before prayers feel powerful, before break-through manifests, identity must be established because you will never consistently rise above what you believe about yourself in Christ.
The Gospel Restores Four Realities
Union: You are connected to God again. You are no longer separated from Him.
Communion: You can hear and know Him. You are close to God, no longer distant.
Authority: You can now stand and resist darkness because you are no longer powerless.
Restoration: You are a new creation. Not improved or upgraded. Totally new.
If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation… (2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV).
Your old identity is gone. The old authority of the kingdom of darkness is broken. Your new life is fully established. And you now live from heaven’s reality.
For our citizenship is in heaven… (Philippians 3:20).
You are still on earth, but you are no longer from here. This means that you think differently, you speak differently, and you definitely fight differently! This fact of being a new creation changes how you face cancer. You don’t deny reality, but you also don’t bow to it. You stand in a higher truth:
God is your father. Jesus is your victory. The Spirit is in you.
Your authority has been restored.

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for loving me enough to send Jesus in my place. Thank You that through His death, burial, and resurrection, I have been forgiven, redeemed, and brought back into relationship with You.
I declare that I am no longer separated from You. I am no longer a slave to fear. I am no longer under the dominion of darkness.
Because of Jesus, I am a child of God. Because of Jesus, I am made righteous. Because of Jesus, I am seated with Christ in heavenly places.
Today, I receive who You say I am. I declare that my life matters to You. I declare that I am loved, chosen, and called. I declare that I have been given authority in the name of Jesus over every work of darkness that comes against my life.
I do not accept fear as my master. I do not accept sickness as my identity. I do not accept defeat as my future. In the name of Jesus, I take my stand in the victory Christ has already won for me. I submit myself fully to You, Lord, and I resist the enemy.
I declare that no weapon formed against me shall prosper. I declare that the Spirit of God lives in me, strengthens me, and leads me in triumph.
Teach me to live from my position in Christ. Teach me to speak with faith, walk in love, and stand in authority. Let Your Word become more real to me than any voice of fear, pain, or diagnosis.
Jesus is Lord over my life. Jesus is Lord over my body. Jesus is Lord over my mind. Jesus is Lord over my future.
I receive Your peace. I receive Your strength. I receive Your truth. I choose to live as Your redeemed child, clothed in righteousness and filled with faith.

My life is not accidental.

I now live under a new kingdom, and that kingdom is not ruled by fear.
8. I Am Chosen with Purpose
God has chosen me. He has called me.
My life still carries purpose.
Even in the middle of uncertainty, my life still matters.

God is not finished with me.
9. I Belong to God
I am not trying to be accepted. I am accepted.
I am not trying to be close to God. I have been brought near.
I am secure in Him.
Nothing can separate me from His love.

I choose to believe what God says about me even when I don’t feel it or fully understand it.
I come into agreement with truth.
I receive my identity as His child.
And I will begin to live from that place.
